Back to the live performance format again this week. In fact I have decided that this will become a main feature again as it was predominantly last year. I find that I can be more efficient creating studio productions of the songs when I am focused on a number of tracks that I am preparing for an album or an EP. The tracks just seem to sound better together that way. Besides I always record a version of a new song this way to at least get an idea of how it stands by itself, laid bare and stripped down. This gives listeners an opportunity to suggest possible directions for production for the song at a later stage.
This song is about a struggle with the pest that is known as the mosquito! Yoong is Thai for mosquito and after battling with a mini swarm of them in my studio room, which was disrupting my creative flow the subject matter for the song materialized, so I supposed they actually helped the creative flow in this instance!
I still don’t like them though, even though they seem to love me! These lyrics are supposed to make this a novelty song, but I think it comes across as a rather serious song. Great, a bit of dark humour maybe. No matter how dark or serious this may sound. This song is meant as a joke, but I really like the way it has come out.
What do you think?
Enjoy!

Makes me feel like theirs mosquitoes around.
I hate mozzies!
Especially when your trying to sleep and then you get bzzzzzz in your ear. Arrrggh!!
Nice song, though.
Yep. I hate 'em too… obviously hence writing this song. That high pitched buzz in the ear is horrible… I agree!
