I Want to be Right

Don’t we all? I realised this as I was thinking of all the times that I automatically chime in with an opinion.
Without noticing, we all do this. It is our self righteous streak that simply has to be heard and acknowledged by the world! How many times do you hear people tell you how it is or the way things are?
Well I’m just as guilty of it, but I am becoming more aware of when I am doing it, as I’m doing it rather than after and sometimes I even catch it early enough to just shut up and listen.
That’s the message really: To listen instead of satisfying your ego’s desire to be right at all costs. If you stay quiet and listen long enough you may even notice that life-changing or million-dollar idea that is rattling around inside your head.
I really enjoyed playing this song. In fact the lyrics spilled out quicker than anything. I literally sat down and wrote this one straight off the pen, hardly pausing.
This is proof enough to me that when you commit to something whole-heartedly, you really can achieve success very quickly. Never underestimate your desire or your imagination.

I Want to be Right - In truth, being right is not particularly important and most commonly we tell ourselves we were right or “I knew it†when things go wrong. Especially in those cases, don’t you think being alive & happy is more important than being right?
Just listened to all 4 songs in a row mate. Great stuff, the project is going well. On the last line of ‘I Want to be Right’ I was wanting you to say …I want to be right,….this time…
How about a song called ‘We create’ with a deeper voice throughout that only lifts up near the end to something really big? That’s just off the top of my head, a kind of ‘prompt’ for a future songcast.

Miaow. This is me fave so far. Maybe because its a bit dark sounding or maybe because i’m listening to it a bit too late not to be in bed. I’ll try it again in the morning with some cornflakes to see if it still does it for me. By the way, I am actually always right. Ego that.
