Boy at Heart

The adventure continues! Since embarking on The Weekly Songcast I have seen many developments in my journey towards fulfilling several ambitions of mine.

Not that I mean the songcast is the cause of these developments, no. I do think though that by staying committed to the songcast my awareness of what things are really important to me and therefore my focus on them has intensified and as a result those things are becoming more concrete in my reality.

I have made another commitment too this week. I am getting married in June of this year and I did have, for want of a better term, a love song, which I was going to publish this week. However I thought that was a bit too predictable, so I decided to publish this song, which I started to write over 10 years ago, would you believe and only really had the creative spark to do it justice recently. This song feels quite appropriate, seeing as from now on I will have a more responsible role to play in life and therefore I suppose I will just have to grow up!

Still, growing up will be a great adventure!

Boy at Heart
No matter how old we get, there is still a youthful part of us that doesn’t ever seem to age. I believe that part is our true being. The part of us that does not live in the realm of ego, time, judgement or fear; simply connected to our natural state of joy. I think that’s why that part of us commonly appears as child-like and often mischievous & fun. We all have to grow up, but we must never ignore the fact that we are all boys & girls at heart.

Enjoy!

  3. I like this track mate, nice and ‘bright’ - a summers day song with an occasional spring breeze…

  4. Sounded very familiar - good to hear it finished; isnt it good to finally stop it sloshing about in your head? very breezy…
