Action

A very different vibe this week. I was putting the finishing touches to two other songs and I had come to a sticking point. They were both coming along great, but just missing something and the last little bit needed wasn’t there.
I started messing around on my guitar to relax my mind a little when this song came out of nowhere. it just feels right the way it is even though it doesn’t have that much of a structure to it. I even had a chance to put in a whistling solo! I enjoyed doing that bit, but I enjoyed freaking out a bit at the end of the song most. I have been very productive today. I took action on an inspired idea that showed itself today rather than taking random action to try and make something happen. In this instance reaults are achieved creatively and seemingly effortlessly.
Action
It is common for action to be confused with doing something, anything to acheive a particular result, but action is often misplaced. You can’t really take effective action if you don’t have a sense of purpose for that action. This is why so many of us are frustrated when we work so hard at something with no results. Focus your intention on why you’re doing what you’re doing and if it really is a purpose that inspires you, you will find the best course of action and it will never fail.
Nice vibe. Like the groovy guitar, but I also like it when its kicked out of the way by the freaky outburst at the end. Voice sounds great & like the lyrics.

I’ve been procrastinating a lot on a large residential landscape design project with a ridiculously tight schedule. Listening to you Guv’ is like hearing the sound of procrastination being crushed and the pathway to achievement being paved ahead of schedule! The weekly songcast is building momentum and it’s all written down and archived online to see your world in Action. Once again an inspirational song and I just wish I could do what you are doing. I guess i need to write it down very soon to get focussed again!

It’s easy for me to give advice when I don’t always take my own, or listen to other people’s.
Still, what I would say to you is just start. Whatever it is, however well or not so well equipped you are, just commit yourself without worrying if you are ready or not. Just decide to begin something you want to do and set a regular target, for example this songcast has a weekly target and decide to meet that target.
What stopped me doing a lot of things in the past was what others would think of it or if it was “credible or cool” enough to feel i could say it was mine.
I don’t give a s**t about that anymore because people will think whatever they want to anyway.

A new comment on an old post: yes, it’s a great song, especially the end of it! I liked how it grew from a single guitar riff to sung music to solo and to the climax on the end. Your song is cool, I’ll try the other posts now.
