About The Weekly Songcast
This Songcast Exists for a Number of Reasons:
- Firstly, I have been searching for different ways to communicate with the world via my music for years, I am determined to achieve the life of my dreams, which includes making music in a tropical paradise.
- Whilst I am a prolific composer of music I have decided that I would love to be a prolific writer of lyrics too, so that I can write great songs.
- This project is my way of pushing myself to do all of these things. By writing, recording & publishing a new song every week, I intend to tap into the ability I know I have to be a complete songwriter.
I believe that if you long to do something with a passion then somewhere inside of you the ability to do it is there. Let’s see if I can find it and share it.
The idea with the weekly song is, basically to push myself to be as creative as possible for as much of the time as I possibly can. Some weeks the song may be a rough sketch, some a complete production and some just acoustic guitar and voice. Whatever form they take, they will all be original songs written by myself and on occasion, they may include a collaborator or co-writer. My songs are also available to artists who may wish to record them for release. If you are interested in using any of my songs or music then please contact me.
The Songcast, I hope will also provide me with an interesting way to promote my services, which combine my talents as musician, producer, mixer, composer & songwriter over at PowerBook Studio.
Since 30th December 2007 the podcast has been alive and it’s proved to be more fulfilling that I could ever have imagined. As soon as I made the commitment to do this it has taken on a life of its own. I would fully recommend anyone who has a desire to do something - anything, to simply commit to it. It is amazing what unfolds, seemingly by itself and before you know it, you have a success on your hands.
If that is the only thing I learn from doing this then it will have been worth it. There is nothing better in this world than being able to do something you love and to be able to share it with the world.
