About the Weekly Songcast
The Weekly Songcast
It began on Dec 30th 2007 and became a big part of my life. The Weekly Songcast pretty much documents my life from the time I was on the home stretch of my plan to change it forever. I had been working toward a clear goal since November 2006 and I was preparing to start a new life 6,000 miles away, marry the woman of my dreams and to see what I could create as my dream lifestyle.
I started writing these songs to keep me focused and on track, but more importantly to keep my levels of self belief and certainty in my success as high as possible. Writing these songs changed my life, it’s as simple as that. I honestly believe these songs helped me gain the strength and the courage to actually follow through with what I said I wanted to do.
I also learned that the simple decision of starting this podcast series gave me great power in bringing about profound changes. In an instant I became prolific at writing songs, which I hadn’t been before and it kept me full of energy, full of enthusiasm and gave me something to always focus on, which was great on days when I wasn’t at my best. This was a reminder for me that I was getting closer to my dream every day and that it was definitely going to come true.
My dream came true and continues over at the official Boy at Heart blog. I now make a living creating music and helping other to create music, I’ve made some amazing new friends, I now have a wonderful family of my own and I live in a tropical paradise. Who says dreams don’t come true?
The Weekly Songcast no longer runs weekly, but remains here as a reminder to anyone (including me) who may get distracted enough to forget that it is crucial to have a dream and go after it.
I hope this website inspires you. Check out the entries in the old blog archive for a taste of how it all unfolded. The songs from every post can all be played from the jukebox player at the top of the site. If you want to buy any of my officially released music, you can do so at the Boy at Heart music store and please stay updated by "liking" the Facebook page and signing up to the Boy@Heart mailing list.
At your service.
